A world class Greenfield site strategically located in Chakan near Pune encompassing around 700 acres of land is underway. This Greenfield project will manufacture medium and heavy commercial vehicles to be produced by the joint venture company of Mahindra Navistar Automotive Ltd and other products slated to hit both the Domestic and International markets over a strategic timeline. The manufacturing facility that will be equipped with state-of-the-art Paint shop & Press shop which will be suitable for multi-model production. The plant will be environment friendly by having importance on Green buildings processes which will eliminate Toxic Effluent, reduction in noise level and energy savings devices. Phase 1 will see an investment of Rs. 2,500 cr at capacity of 320,000 pa. Production is slated to commence around end of 2009.
