Asha Kharga is the Chief Customer & Brand Officer and Member of the Group Executive Board of the Mahindra Group.

Asha leads the Group's Corporate Brand & Communications, Customer Data & Experience as well as Mahindra Culture Festivals. She is Brand Custodian at the Group and brings a wealth of experience in brand building, corporate reputation, and communication strategy. She is responsible for developing organizational capabilities to elevate customer experience and oversees the centralized repository of customer data for the entire Group.

Asha is the Chairperson of the FICCI Committee for Women Empowerment in 2024 and chairs the Mahindra Group's Diversity Council. She is a Director on the Board of NBS International Ltd, Director for Mahindra Holdings Ltd, as well as the publicly listed Mahindra Lifespaces Developers. She also served as Chairperson for Mahindra Racing UK, for 2 years.

Asha has 27 years of rich experience that spans FMCG, financial services, and advertising. She joined the Mahindra Group from Axis Bank where she was the Executive Vice-President and Group Chief Marketing Officer for the Bank and its subsidiaries. Before Axis Bank, she was with Unilever for almost a decade in a variety of brand and marketing roles in the homecare and refreshments category. She also led the consumer & customer-centricity agenda at HUL and launched Unilever’s Sustainable Living Plan in India.

Asha spent the first decade of her career with leading advertising agencies that include Leo Burnett, J Walter Thompson and TBWA and has worked on a variety of brands from Unilever, P&G, Beiersdorf, Samsonite, amongst a host of others.

Asha’s contributions to the business have been recognized by Business World (India’s Top 20 Most Influential Women in Marketing & Advertising), IMPACT (50 Most Influential Women in Media, Marketing and Advertising; 2020, 2023) and Business World (Top 100 most Influential Marketing Leaders in India, 2023). She has been honoured as a Storyboard18 Visionary in 2024 by the CNBC Network.

Asha is a commerce graduate from Narsee Monjee and an MBA in Marketing from Mumbai University.
