A Glimpse into the Initiative

Born from the collaboration of Mahindra Accelo and MSTC Ltd., a government enterprise, CERO aims to combat pollution and waste.

CERO, which also means ‘Zero’ in Spanish, is a venture dedicated to Zero Pollution, Zero Wastage, and bringing down the import of Metal Scraps to Zero. It strives to recycle end-of-life vehicles in a manner that is not only ecologically conscious but also profoundly impactful. Our mission extends to recycling a wide array of vehicles, ranging from cars, trucks, and buses to two-wheelers, industrial scrap, and white goods. Our approach utilizes cutting-edge, globally recognized technology to breathe new life into discarded vehicles, all while preserving the delicate balance of our environment.

Our meticulous recycling practices pave the way for the reuse of steel and other valuable materials, consequently safeguarding our precious natural resources. It has helped us conserve 16,800 tonnes of iron ore, 61,800 tonnes of coal, 660 tonnes of limestone, and a staggering 30 lakh litres of furnace oil till now. At its heart, CERO captures our resolve to reduce carbon emissions, adopting environmentally friendly practices that resonate with the very spirit of carbon neutrality.

Imagine an end-of-life bus, once a mode of transportation, finding new life as a digital classroom in a Noida village school. This school, devoid of even a single laptop, now has a cutting-edge digital smart classroom – all thanks to CERO's visionary approach. It was in dire need of a computer room and had a space for placing the bus. With the help of Autofabrico Manufacturing Pvt Ltd, we turned a retired bus into a vibrant hub of education. Inside, rows of seats made way for rows of desks, each equipped with a laptop, ready to open doors to a world of knowledge. Having 8 laptops, it became a hub of knowledge. The lives of 275 students were forever changed by a simple yet profound act of repurposing.

This story is a testament to the effect that sustainability can create – it isn't just about saving resources; it's about enriching lives.
