Green Buildings: Come home to a cleaner, greener planet

Dr Sunita Purushottam, who heads sustainability at Mahindra Lifespaces, talks about the concept of 'Green Buildings'

Since 2014, Mahindra Lifespaces (MLDL) has blazed a trail as a real estate developer with a 100% green-certified portfolio. With the launch of 'Eden', India's first Net Zero energy residential project in Bengaluru, the company has also set a new standard in sustainable development. Another significant milestone in MLDL's journey is its commitment to construct only Net Zero buildings beginning in 2030.

Hariyali, renewing lives in Araku

Mahindra Group's Project Hariyali, launched in 2007, focusses on improving India's green cover and protecting biodiversity. Today, 13 years later, the Group has planted over 18 million trees and reforested the Araku Valley creating new means of livelihood for Adivasi farmers. With the help of this project, the Adivasi community is enhancing biodiversity and a healthy ecosystem - a testament to the spirit of our commitment to social and environmental sustainability.
